President ʿAbd el-Fattāḥ al-Sīsī addressed the nation and told the people that the idea of transferring Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Sinai is the same as transferring the idea of resistance and of fighting from the Gaza Strip to Sinai, thus making Sinai a base for launching operations against Israel. In this case, it would then mean that Israel has the right to defend itself, and therefore strike on Egyptian territory.
