Dr. Abd Al-Mo’ti Bayoumi, dean of the Faculty of the Religion’s Origins (’usul el-Din), claimed that the Hegri Calendar is not Islamic. But Dr. Mohammed Ra’fat said that the Muslims are ordered to use the Hegri Calendar because Islam has determined a lot of things according to it.
