The United Nations’ Human Rights Council recognized an Egyptian legal resolution on the effects of terrorism on human rights. The council built upon the Egyptian resolution and the majority of Arab countries, as well as some African, Asian, and Latin countries adopted the resolution, while Western countries dissented. The resolution seeks to cast light on the challenges facing the world in fighting terrorism today.
