Many news reports talk about the existence of a political plan to set up an Israeli community in Australia. The details of this plan, that is supposed to have been agreed by the International Jewish Council and the Zionist Federation in Australia, are not known exactly, but there are some possibilities that Jews will be allowed to move to Australia from all over the world, and will then gain autonomy and finally an independent Jewish state, probably in southern Australia.
