The Duke of Kent, whom I had last seen in Jordan in 1996, read a passage from the Bible. The address - a warm tribute to the late King - was given by his old friend, our crown prince, Prince Charles... It was a primarily Christian congregation in a Christian cathedral honoring a great Muslim figure - a first I believe for a memorial service of this sort in the United Kingdom.’
