The visit of the US commission has proved the patriotism of Egyptians by their rejection of it. However, if the present state of affairs persists, this will not be the last time we see the commission, and the question of the government’s patriotism will remain. The writer concluded the article by wondering when the government will realize that it is its own inadequacy, and not Coptic grievances, that prompt visits from foreign commissions.
