Father Marcos Aziz Khalil, the priest of the Hanging Church, found himself under the guillotine of Bishop Bishoi, the secretary of the Holy Council. This is the first time the priest of the Hanging Church has been referred to trial, in spite of his position and known attitudes towards the church. Father Khalil disappeared for a while, after which he returned to his Hanging Church, prevented from writing his weekly article for Al-Wafd, which was entitled "The Sunday Meeting."
