A heated debate took place between the chairman of the Egyptian Parliament and the Muslim Brotherhood MPs, who criticized the detention of three of the group’s members. They said that what happened [detention] was a conspiracy that aimed at making it too late for the Brotherhood to submit the necessary papers for running in the elections of the Shura Council. They added that the authorities would release those detained once the appointed time for submitting election papers ended.
