The Aqsa committee submitted a request to the president of the Bar Association to hold a ceremony to show solidarity with the Palestinian intafada. The ceremony was to include an artistic show by a Palestinian choral team and start with Fayrouz’s famous song "Ya Qods". The secretary general of the Bar Association, who is a Brotherhood member, refused and said that the voice of Fayrouz and her song "Ya Qods" were indecent and licentious.
