Despite the fact that the area surrounding the Anba Maqar monastery is an

antiquities area under the supervision of the Permanent Committee of Islamic and Christian antiquities, an investor

established on it many buildings with the aim of founding a group of companies for investment. The administration

of the monastery notified the concerned bodies to take the necessary procedures in this respect.
