The Middle East Council of Churches decided to translate the Encyclopedia of the History of Christianity into English, French and German. Among its many issues, the Encyclopedia touches upon the Islamic culture and the influence of Islam on Arab societies and Eastern Christians. Because translators may be affected by their beliefs, there should a revision of the translation of the Islamic-related issues in the Encyclopedia.
