The article recounts the story of the photograph taken by American researcher Paul Perry of the church of Saint Mark in Assiut, in August 2000. He took a photograph of the church at night after it closed its doors. It shows a very strong light over the church´s steeple. He sent the photograph attached to a letter to the bishop of Assiut, asking him for an explanation for the phenomenon recorded by his camera.
