In this article Abdel-Latif Abdel-Karim comments on an article by Gamal Al-Banna: “For the interest of Islam and for the interest of Egypt, forget about banning,” Al-Qahera, July 29, 2003. In this article, Gamal Al-Banna comments on the statement of the Sheikh of the Azhar that calls for banning books that encourage extremism. He believes that banning is not a solution. It is simply a process that should not be practiced by sheikhs.
