Ahmed Hashim gives an overview of an article published in Newsweek about the Muslim Brotherhood under the title “The Longest Hand of Jihad.” The article accuses the Muslim Brotherhood of being a radical terrorist group that supports the Qa´ida network. Newsweek approached Egyptian writer Ma´amoun Fandy to comment on the Brotherhood. Hashim believes Fandy is a “horn” for American imperialism. Hashim states that he does not write in defense of the Brotherhood but just to show the bias of Newsweek.
