Last Monday, the activities of the conference “Islam and the West in a Changing World” were concluded in Sudan. The conference aimed at presenting an Islamic view of the relationship with the West under the slogan “Interaction without melting and distinction without introversion." A large number of Muslim scholars and thinkers from both the Arab and Muslim worlds participated in the conference. The article covers the speeches given by Sudanese Minister of Irshad and Awqaf [Guidance and Endowments], Dr. Esam Al-Bashir, and Muslim scholar Dr. Youssef Al-Qaradawi.
