In an interview with Al-Musawwar

magazine, the Brotherhood’s supreme guide, Muhammad Mahdi Akef presented a contract between the

Brotherhood and the Journalists’ Syndicate in which it was written that the Brotherhood would

rent the hall for a couple of hours to present its statement concerning political reform.

Adel Mon’em Abu Al-Fotouh, a leading figure of the Brotherhood, gave Al-Qahera an

interview, which many considered a rebellion against the Brotherhood’s thought and not in line

with it. It was claimed that Abu Al-Fotouh called for the dissolution of the Brotherhood and the

withdrawal from the international organization of the Brotherhood.
