A war of initiatives has broken out between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Tagammu Party, after the Tagammu Party announced its initiative for political reform, the Tagammu initiative directed criticism at the Brotherhood’s initiative, accusing it of flirting with the U.S.


Muhammad Mahdi Akef [supreme guide of the Muslim Brotherhood] refused to comment on the initiative put forth by the Tagammu Party adding that the atmosphere now is not suitable for entering into battles; rather it is urgent that all national forces unite.
