The conflict between the government and the Muslim Brotherhood has escalated. Akram Abdel Hamid Al Zohari, who was imprisoned pending investigations in relation to case number 462 for year 2004, died. The Muslim Brotherhood described his death as the result of the inhuman treatment of the detained that followed their arrest and money confiscation last May 15. The Brotherhood members said that Zohari was one of the 58 Brotherhood members arrested on May 16. State Security officers who arrested Zohari ignored his suffering from diabetes until he died on June 9.
