After several months of preparations at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, the first visit to Britain was decided. The Minister of Awqaf [Religious Endowments] formed a delegation comprising the Grand Mufti Dr. Ali Goma’a, Dr. Zaghloul Al-Naggar and Dr. Muhammad Abu Lela. The main objective of the visit was to correct the false image of Islam in the West. Thus, it is important to know the factors that contributed to the creation of this false image.
