Education—a vitally important issue on the reform agenda—is one of the most widely-discussed topics. A new vision and a bold policy are required to produce a new generation of Egyptians who can grasp modern-day variables and deal in the latest technology. Our public education is still hostage to rigid curricula in textbooks overflowing with material which the student must learn without discussion, debate, research or comparison.
