A new Shiite community has been added to the Egyptian population. They number 20,000

or even 30,000 or 40,000 and most of the community members are of marriageable age and are

capable of marriage, having families, and enlarging the community. The Shiites are not only a

demographic segment but are also a [religious] denomination that has special rituals and

practices. They also carry out money transactions and they carry out productive and service

dealings.
