The Coptic Association of Thamarat Al-Mahaba held a conference under the title of “Citizenship and Globalization…Copts in a Changeable Society” at its headquarters in Shubra, the heart of Cairo. This title was derived from the name of a book by the researcher and writer Hany Labib. Head of the Cultural Forum of the Association engineer Amir Habib asserts that Copts firmly reject the idea of discussing their problems abroad. He adds that all Egyptians, whether Muslims or Christians, can express their problems freely and, thus, they can handle them all on their own.
