In a response to a severe attack by Nājiḥ Ibrāhīm, member of the Shūrá Council of the al-Jamā‘ah al-Islāmīyah, Dr. Muná Ḥilmī affirms that she was not shocked by Ibrāhīm’s violent response to her published in Rose al-Yūsuf last week, in which she questioned the subjectivity of the group’s initiative to cease the use of violence as it has always been the way Islamic groups responded to the voice of rationalism.
