This article deals with the issue of Houses of Worship. There is no unified law concerning the building of churches in Egypt currently, and Copts have been rallying behind this issue in recent times. A recent court ruling in Egypt stated that mosques are for the public benefit, and so there was no need to obtain a permit for the building of two mosques. Sidhom argues that this should make Copts happy because this means that their places of worship should also be of public benefit, but is aware that this precedent will not carry over to the Christian minority.
