This article discusses a statement issued by Archbishop of Shubrā al-Khaymah saying that Pope Shenouda is the only spokesman on behalf of the Church, not the Bishop. In addition, Anba Morcos, Bishop of Shubrā al-Khaymah asked the media to check their accuracy concerning positions and titles, avoiding embarrassment for those involved.  Pastor Ashraf Shoak, in the Evangelical Church, criticized the new personal status law.
