In his article published in Washington Times website, Chuck Freilich, former Israeli Deputy National Security Adviser, stated that Egypt without Mubārak is a “real nightmare." According to him, the arrival of the Muslim Brotherhood to power after Mubārak would be a “disaster.” Freilich stresses the importance of the support of Israel and the United States of the new Egyptian president, be it Jamāl Mubārak or any other moderate figure, in order to enforce his popularity.
