Pope Shenouda III said that he does not question inter-sectarian marriage and pointed out that he could not recognize non-Orthodox marriages. Head of the Baptist Church, Father Botros Falta‘ūs, said that his meeting with the pope touched upon the Personal Status Law for Copts, of which the Baptist Church was not part of the planning committee, and that they agreed on the holiness of different sects and religions.
