"Every Muslim is part Christian and every Christian is part Muslim" was part of the Lebanese patriarch's statement a few weeks ago, emphasizing the tight relations between Muslims and Christians in the Arab world. In Egypt however, during the past few days, religious figures who are known to be intellectual and civilized have made extremely irresponsible remarks, completely disregarding the past 14 centuries of comradeship and coexistence between Muslims and Copts.
