Pope Shenouda III and an ecclesial delegation visited the Azhar yesterday to congratulate Dr. Ahmad al-Tayyib on ‘Īd al-Adhá. During the meeting, they called upon Egyptians of both religions to stand united against “attempts to separate the Egyptian people.” Dr. al-Tayyib said that rumors of fitnah tā’ifīyah are false and that they are “imported from abroad.”
