Bishop Kyrillos of Naj‘ Hammādī has issued a statement requesting the Attorney General to interfere in the case of the al-Nawāhid village in Abū Tisht – Naj‘ Hammādī. He said that the Abū Tisht Chief Prosecutor refused to interview the Coptic people affected by the fire to help identify the suspects. Kyrillos says that he is doing so to keep the suspects anonymous and cause the Copts to lose their rights.
