Sāmī says that he is confused by the Coptic reaction to Giza Governor Sayyid ‘Abd al-‘Azīz’s decision to stop the building of a church because of the lack of required permits.

He calls the riots (in which 2 people were killed and dozens arrested) a "suspicious overreaction." He says that Pope Shenouda III’s reluctance to talk about the riots is equally suspicious, saying that Copts were the aggressors in the ‘Umrāniyyah riots and that the security forces were only there to disengage the violence created by the Copts.

He says that it is a well known fact that state security does not discriminate against Copts and that its only role is to maintain national security. Sāmī calls upon all Egyptians to not fall prey to the Coptic rage stirred from abroad and the American religious freedom report, which aims to ruin the relationship between Egyptians who have peacefully coexisted for over fourteen centuries.

Sāmī then criticizes the Egyptian people’s reluctance to vote in the parliamentary elections. He says that only 25% of those eligible to vote actually did so, which means that instead of representing the Egyptian people, parliament only represents fans and supporters of its members.
