In the 75 years of Muslim Brotherhood history, MB gained zero parliament seats 3 times .


In 1942 (when they first ran for parliament), then in 1945, and finally in 2010, MB didn’t win any seats in the parliament.


In 1987, (al-Islām Hūwa al-Hal) Islam is the solution, the well-known slogan in MB was first initiated. MB elected Jamāl ‘As’ad of the Islamic Union list as coptic MP. He was to be the 1st copt to enter the parliament on MB’s list.
