Rāmī Kāmil was one of the participants in Coptic demonstrations in front of the TV building in Maspero area in protest against the demolition of a church in 'Ātfīh.

He defined what it meant to be a Coptic activist then he express Copts' fears over salafists, expressing belief that it is a necessity for all people to work toward a civil state.

Rāmī's worries are not only because of the ascension of the salafī movements but also because he feels that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces is allied with them.
