In an interview with Wall Street Journal,  Egyptian diplomat Butrūs Butrūs Ghālī said that Copts are practicing their doctrine and they hold leadership positions, adding that this is what is required to reinforce a spirit of citizenship.

Ghālī calls for establishing a special unit in the public prosecution office that prosecutes discriminatory acts and other sectarian crimes with severe convictions and monitors inflammatory religious speech form both sides.
