"Religion can never be separated from politics. The results of the People's Assembly and Shūrá Council elections showed that the Egyptian people are stainless and innocent and that they are favoring Islam by nature. In the same time, the results also showed that the opponents of Islamists do not exist in the (political) arena," Abū Ismā'īl said in statements to the Saudi newspaper al-Yawm.
