A new trip by the Air Sinai carrier left for Tel Aviv with nearly 100 Coptic passengers on board to celebrate Easter, while the Coptic Orthodox Church said the Holy Synod will determine after Easter festivities the period of punishment to be imposed against pilgrims to Jerusalem, which includes forbidding from reception of the holy communion.
Expatriate Copts said the issue is "political rather than religious" while the tourist companies chamber affirmed that there is no legal basis for investigating the companies that have organized those Christian pilgrimage flights.
