Chief editors and board chairmen of state-owned newspapers met to review the outcome of the meeting with the speaker of the shūrá council, which was held on Tuesday (May 15), and focused statements attributed to some chairpersons of shūrá committees that implied insults against the press establishments and their editors.

The chief editors and board chairman agreed that attacks on the state-run press institutions based on inaccurate information or facts only aim to intimidate the freedom of the press and bring the state-owned newspapers to swerve from their path they pursued after the January 25 revolution as newspapers owned by the people and express all their segments and groups.
