Meanwhile, Pope Benedict XVI of the Roman Catholic Church in the Vatican congratulated Mursī over his victory in the Egyptian presidential election and expressed hope that God would help Mursī to work on enhancing Egypt’s unity in an atmosphere of tranquility and respect of all Egyptians.
