The first visit of an Egyptian President to Iran for decades has been generally met with approval. The visit is to take place as part of the Non-Aligned Movement conference at the end of the month. The conference will see the changeover of leadership from President Mursī to President Ahmadinijad. The visit comes as part of “work to restore Egypt’s leading role in the Non-Aligned Movement.
