Al-Hurīyah wal-‘Adālah reported on 11 articles in the new Constitution that ensure equality, rights, and citizenship. Mu’taz Widnān and Sāmyah Khalīl, authors of the article, wrote that politicians stressed that the new draft Constitution has many articles that ensure equality for Copts and that this is the first Constitution that allows Copts to refer to their own law in personal and religious matters.
