Dr. Yāsir Burhāmī, vice president of the Salafī Da’wah (call) and member of the Constituent Assembly (CA), stated that the articles of the upcoming Constitution have been drafted upon the approval of all the participating forces.  Contrary to the alleged rejection of the constitution draft by the Church representatives, Dr. Burhāmī argued that Archpriest Bulāof Tantā, and member of the CA, has distributed halawit al Mūlid (traditional sweets produced on the occasion commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad) upon the approval of 60 members on the article that endorses the principles of Islamic Sharī’ah in the Constitution.
