The spouse of the kidnapped said that four people came to their house after midnight, claiming that they have an urgent medical situation. After her husband went with them, she looked from the window and saw them attacking him and forcing him into the car. She then received a phone call from her husband’s mobile in which the caller demanded a ransom to release her husband. 

Father Bīshūy of Saint George Church, for his part, said that the Governorate witnesses many kidnapping cases because of the state of lawlessness.
