The Coptic Church will hold its first conference discussing divorce and second marriages at Wādī al-Natrūn in May. The conference will continue for four days, and will be attended by Pope Tawadros and over 100 bishops, priests, and legal advisers, and will be headed by Bishop Būlā of Tantā, head of the Clerical Council. The conference will also include interviews, lectures, and presentations, some of which will address the subject of reform of the Clerical Council, which has been accused of being overly bureaucratic and mired in red tape (Mustafá Rahūmah, al-Watan, Mar. 19, p. 2). Read original text in Arabic.
