After his meeting with the Azhar’s Grand Shaykh, Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyīb, the Saudi preacher Shaykh Muhammad Bin ‘Abd al-Rahmān al-’Arifī during a press conference referred to Egypt’s historic, leading role in the Arab region and the world. He urged Egyptians to be patient and stressed the importance of unity while rebuilding the country. He indicated that Egypt is owed a debt of gratitude from her sister Arab countries because Egypt stood side-by-side with all Arabs in their various times of need over the centuries, from the early days of Islam to the present, ”only the ungrateful can deny that any development in any Arab county was built over the shoulders of an Egyptian.”
He added that instability was a normal consequence of any revolution, “but what Egypt has lost after the Revolution is minimal compared to other countries
He also called on investors, especially in wealthy Arab countries to invest now in Egypt as it was a promising economic power, with its wealth of expertise and enormous human potential.
He added that the national unity has been always the hallmark of Egypt. According to him, the country has never experienced sectarian conflict, and Muslims and Christians live in harmony and are a unique model of peaceful co-existence.
