The largest meeting of heads of Churches between West, led by Vatican Pope Francis I, and the East, led by Coptic Orthodox Pope Tawadros II, inaugurates a new era in the history of inhabited relations between the oldest and the most important churches in world, despite the 1977 radical disagreement surrounding the nature of Jesus Christ, which was the most important and most serious dispute was between the Churches since the Council of Chalcedon in AD 451 (Majdī Fikrī, al-Dustūr, May 26, p. 8).
