Bishop Maximus of Banhā and Quwaysanā, denied the existence of a Coptic migration movement from Egypt, and he said that all the rumors surround this subject are untrue. He added that Copts will not leave Egypt even if the Sphinx migrated! Further, incidents of Copt migrating are isolated and temporary. He also highlighted the possibility of recurrence of the incidents in Khusūs in anywhere in Egypt, especially if the real causes of such incidents are not tackled, and said that the Church is committed to religious discussion and debate (Husām Sālah, al-Watan, May 22, p. 2). Read original text in Arabic.
