The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH) in Turkey has filed a complaint in Turkish Courts accusing General 'Abd al-Fattāh al-Sīsī; Dr. Muhammad El Barād’ī, Deputy of Interim President for Foreign Relations; Doctor Shaykh Ahmad al-Tayyīb; Grand Shaykh of Al-‘Āzhar; and Coptic Orthodox Pope, Tawadros II of committing war crimes against the backdrop of the events which lead to the death of hundreds of people after the removal of President Muhammad Morsi (Mūrsī). The NGO had earlier demanded called for an end of violence against pro-Morsi demonstrators and condemned the “excessive use of force” of Egyptian Armed Forces and the Republican Guard (Fātima Sa'ad, al-Dustūr, Aug. 2). Read original text in Arabic.
