Al-Dustūr Party expressed deep disapproval of the repeated attacks against Christians in Upper Egypt and other regions over the past month, led by some elements sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood. It stressed that these practices are unacceptable and opens the doors only to rivalry on religious grounds, leading to the division of sons of the same country. In the previous days several villages and cities witnessed attacks against houses, churches, and properties belonging to Christians due to their participation in the demonstrations that led to the overthrow of the ousted president, Morsi (Author not mentioned, al-Shurūq, Aug. 5). Read original text in Arabic.
