Pope Tawadros II returned to run the affairs of the Church again from the Papal Headquarters in St. Mark’s Cathedral in 'Abbāsīyyah after it had to be abandoned for two months. He had been treatened with murder because of his involvement in the June 30 Revolution. Until today, the Pope cannot hold his weekly sermon for fear of terrorist attacks.
