The new ambassador of the Vatican State in Cairo has delivered a letter to Dr. Shaykh Ahmad al-Tayyīb, the Azhar Grand Shaykh, from Pope Francis IX. In it he assured the respect of the Vatican to Islam and the Muslims and its role and efforts in order promote understanding between Christians and Muslims worldwide. In a meeting with the new ambassador, Dr. Shaykh Ahmad al-Tayyīb has emphasized the message of Al-Azhar, which represents Muslims worldwide.  He stated that Islam respects all heavenly religions as well as the dignity of all human beings as per the values that are stressed by the Quran.
